This list includes the bare minimum items for any guest accommodation even those without a kitchen.

The kitchen generally requires the most items to be stocked for guest needs, but you can get some items at second-hand stores and marketplace for deals too.

Even if you don’t have a kitchen, your guest needs to be able to enjoy a drink of water or whatever drink they’ve brought with them so you need some sort of cups. Even the most low budget motels include a basic coffee & tea option for the morning

What do I need to provide if my airbnb doesn’t have a kitchen?

If you have a kitchenette then this would be the ideal list.

  • Drinking glasses

  • Small plates or a small dish set

  • Cereal Bowls

  • A coffee station with coffee machine, tea, cups, spoons and supplies

  • Can Opener

  • Real utensils (not disposable)

  • Microwave or hot plate

  • Trivet for hot items so they don’t ruin furniture or counters

  • Toaster

  • Mini Fridge

  • Tin Foil

  • Countertop Cleaner

  • Dish Soap & Sponge

  • Paper Towel

What Should You Have for your Airbnb Full Kitchen

Essential Kitchen supplies for your vacation rental.

How long are guests staying with you and how elaborate will their cooking or entertaining needs be?

Guests are reviewing amenities just as much as cleanliness, so seeing pictures of a beautiful kitchen is important, but having working kitchen appliances, tools and everything needed to cook basic meals is also essential, especially for long-stay rentals and remote locations where restaurants are more than a short drive away.

If you are renting out a home with a full kitchen, your kitchen needs a fairly detailed collection of items to be fully stocked with just the basics

Ensure you have a minimum set of dishes for the number of people your house sleeps (ie if your space sleeps 12, you need 12 of everything for plates, bowls, utensils, glassware)

Here’s our shopping list and product guide to get started on your Airbnb Kitchen needs. Scroll below for our favourite product buying options on Amazon.

The list above  is our basic go to list with most things easily available second hand and at discount stores, but look for things that are good quality and will not be worn out quickly by guests.

You’ll also need some basic consumables like a BBQ lighter, Tinfoil, Saran Wrap, Dish Sponges and Paper Towel

Personalize your space with a few decorative items for staging:

Don’t buy anything you would be sad to see ruined.

Buy good enough quality that its going to last for a few seasons of normal use and only dishwasher friendly items as guests will put everything in the dishwasher.

Protect your appliances!!

Having an oven liner will save you and your cleaner a lot of headaches. note you cannot use a foil liner in some types of ovens, it will react and basically weld itself to the base.
